Adoption Services
Every year, we offer thousands of healthy animals for adoption. The majority of them are cats and dogs, but there are also many birds and rodents who are all in need of a new home.
Our employees and volunteers are there to advise you when you adopt an animal. They will help you understand all that is involved when taking on the responsibility of bringing home an animal companion.
- First, you must understand that having a pet costs money: pet food, visits to the veterinarian, litter, care products, and so on.
- Before adopting an animal, you must know your animal’s life expectancy and whether your lifestyle allows you to take care of a pet continuously.
- You must also realise that your new pet will need time to adapt to his or her new surroundings; it is likely that your pet will cause damages during this period.
- Last, you must accept that an animal’s behaviour will forever be like that of an 18-month-old child.
If you wish to adopt an animal, you must come to the SPCA and see the animals we offer for adoption. We cannot reserve pets for you. Since we do many adoptions every day, the animals we have change regularly. To help you find the animal that best corresponds to your needs, we recommend that you visit our locations often.
The Adoption Service is open seven days a week:
Monday to Friday 12PM – 8PM
Saturday and Sunday: 11:00PM – 5:00PM
Adoptions of roddents and exotic animals are done on appointment only. Please write to martineallard6@gmail.com to schedule an appointment.
