How do I make a donation to SPCA International?
To make a donation to the SPCA International, click on the Donate tab. This page will allow you to donate to the SPCA International General Fund, which supports all the efforts of SPCA International and its programs.
Can I make a donation in Memory or Honor of someone?
Most of SPCA International’s programs (with the exception of Operation Baghdad Pups) have the option to dedicate a donation in Memory or Honor of someone. Instructions are:
Choose one of the programs you wish to donate to http://www.spca.com/donation
1. Fill out the required fields on the donation form.
2. Be sure to check the box “I’d like to dedicate my donation to a friend or loved one at no extra charge” under the “Amount” field.
3. Click the dropdown box to select either “In Honor of” or “In Memory of.”
4. If you would like SPCA to send an e-mail notification to the person you want to dedicate the donation to, please be sure to fill out the Honoree Name and E-mail Address of dedication recipient fields. Identify if the name/e-mail address provided is the honoree. You may also include a personal message in the “Optional Message” field.
5. Complete and submit your credit card transaction.
6. Upon completion of the donation process, the honoree will receive an e-mail notification from SPCA International regarding your dedicated donation.
How do I become a volunteer with SPCA International?
We may have several volunteer opportunities. Click on the Volunteer tab to read more about the programs that SPCA International has to offer for volunteers.
Who can I speak to about assistance needed for an animal related school project?
We would be happy to help you with your school project. Please click on Contact Us, under the About Us tab. Provide us with your name, the questions you need answered, the date when you need to have a response by and the best time and way to contact you.
If I send in an inquiry to SPCA International, how soon can I expect a response?
Please realize that we do receive a lot of email requests and we make every effort to reply to as many and as quickly as possible. Please make sure you include your full contact info and telephone number to receive a proper reply. If you have not received a response in a reasonable amount of time, please resend your request.
I am a U.S. soldier, a family member or a friend of a U.S. soldier serving overseas that has befriended an animal while on tour. How can I get help from SPCA International’s Operation Baghdad Pups program?
Please click on Contact Us, under the About Us tab. Provide us with your name, city/state and telephone number with a description of the situation. We will do everything possible to help you or your loved one rescue the animal out of the war zone. We accept requests for both dogs and cats.
How do I nominate a shelter for Shelter of the Week?
To direct you to the appropriate staff member, please click on Contact Us, under the About Us tab. Provide us with your name, city/state, phone number and the same contact information for the animal shelter you are nominating. We will contact you for more information.
How do I alert SPCA International of a shelter crisis or emergency that I believe is deserving of an emergency grant?
To direct you to the appropriate staff member, please click on Contact Us, under the About Us tab. Provide us with your name, city/state, phone number and the same contact information for the animal shelter you are nominating. Please also write a short description explaining the crisis or emergency situation. We will contact you for more information.
Does SPCA International have animals to adopt?
SPCA International does not operate an animal shelter, but we can assist you with your search. Please, click Contact Us, under the About Us tab on the website. Provide us with your name, city/state, country, telephone number and species/breed of animal you are looking to adopt so we can provide you with information on where you can locate an animal in need of a permanent home.
Who can I speak to about a concern I have for an animal being: abused, neglected, noisy, messy, aggressive, etc?
SPCA International does not have the jurisdiction to handle these types of complaints. You will need to contact your local animal control agency to voice your concern. If you have trouble locating an agency click on Contact Us, under the About Us tab and provide us with your name, your city/state, country, telephone number and the concern you have. We will try to locate an agency or shelter that may be able to assist you.
I have an important idea that I want to share with SPCA International. Who can I contact about my great idea that might help more animals in my area and around the world?

Does SPCA International spay and neuter animals?
No, SPCA International does not operate our own spay and neuter facility. However, we strongly urge all companion animal caregivers to help control the pet population by contacting their local SPCA, Humane Society, veterinarian or call 1-800-248-SPAY to locate a low cost spay and neuter clinic in their area.
How do I become a Humane Law Officer?
When preparing for a career in Humane Law Enforcement, it is a good idea to check with your local law enforcement to see what their requirements are. It is also a good idea to check with your local animal welfare organizations which currently have Humane Law Officers too.
I would like to receive collateral material on SPCA International.
We strongly feel that donations need to be spent on developing programs that support the well being of animals all over the world. Because of this we try to keep spending to a minimum by not printing collateral materials such as brochures, etc. Information about SPCA International and our programs can all be found on our Web site.
I would like to speak to someone about a bad experience I had at another SPCA.
Each individual SPCA that may be located throughout the United States, or other countries, is a separate organization from SPCA International. We do not have the authority to inspect or govern these individual organizations. If there are concerns about a particular SPCA contact them directly or if you suspect the animals are not being taken care of properly you will need to contact the local Department of Agriculture.
I have an upcoming event that I would like a representative from SPCA International to attend or speak.
Please click on Contact Us under the About Us tab. Provide us with your name, city/state and phone number with a description of the event, including dates and times. We are happy to try to arrange for staff or a volunteer to attend your event depending on availability.
Is SPCA International hiring?
At this time SPCA International does not have any openings, nor anticipate any in the near future. When a position does become available we will post it on the website with instructions on how to submit your resume. If your experience matches what is needed to fill the position we will contact you.
