Together, let’s keep saving more animals

As we reach the halfway mark of 2025, we are proud to share the progress we’ve made.

Behind every number is a unique story and animals who, at last, are finding the chance to truly thrive.
Comme Ti-Gars, un chat à la santé fragile

This sweet two-year-old boy was recently entrusted to us in critical condition. Afflicted by a severe skin condition for several months and completely drained, he had no energy left. His irritated eyelids hid his beautiful blue eyes.

Without treatment, would never have gotten better. It’s thanks to generous, committed people like you that we were able to provide Ti-Gars with specialized treatment.

Animals in distress can’t always tell us what’s wrong. In fact, most often, all they have is you. Your precious support allows us to take swift action to treat serious cases like that of Ti-Gars.

Today, Ti-Gars is slowly regaining his strength in his foster home, where they’ve nicknamed him Churu, since he’s gradually regained his appetite and developed a special fondness for those little treats.

The shelter’s activity report: January 1 to June 30, 2025

Alongside Ti-Gars, thousands of animals find shelter, care, and comfort every day thanks to your support.

  • 2,142 companion animals were surrendered to us, a 32% increase.
  • 1,141 stray animals were found, injured or lost.
  • 729 companion animals were placed in foster homes.
  • 382 orphaned kittens and puppies were part of our Neonatal Program, a 103% increase.
  • 2,548 companion animals were adopted; 14% more than last year!
  • 273 animals were transferred to partner shelters.
  • 163 animals’ lives improved thanks to our Surrender Prevention Program.
  • 156 lost animals were reunited with their families.
  • 130 animals received medical care from our new community clinic start-up.

In all, 6,284 animals of all different species came through our doors, either for accommodation in the shelter or as part of one of our programs.

We know that, in your daily life, animals mean a lot to you!

Every day, we handle emergencies with limited resources. By joining our monthly giving program, or by increasing your monthly donation, you’ll help us plan more effectively for the purchase of medical supplies and essential medications and ensure we can maintain a highly skilled veterinary team. If you do so by September 30, you’ll also get the chance to name one of our future protégés!*

If you prefer to make a one-time donation, you can be sure that we will use it carefully to compassionately help the most vulnerable animals.

* The option will be available on the monthly online donation form. Since the campaign ends on September 30, you’ll hear from us sometime in October. You’ll then receive an email in due time, along with a photo of the animal given the name you suggested. Please note that we will reject any names considered to be offensive.
