Thanks to you and everyone else who signed our letter to the members of the Standing Committee on Justice and Human Rights, the wording of Bill C-332 has been changed! As we requested, Bill C-332, An Act to amend the Criminal Code (controlling or coercive conduct) now recognizes violence or threats of violence to an intimate partner\u2019s animal as a manifestation of coercive control. This inclusion is a major step toward better protection for victims of violence, and it recognizes the significant connection between animal abuse and interpersonal violence.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
