\"5811986_benoit-tremblay-18_85\"<\/a>Montreal, June 27 2016 \u2013<\/b> Following a lengthy and intensive selection process, the Montreal SPCA\u2019s Board of Directors is very pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Benoit Tremblay as its Executive Director. Mr. Tremblay joins the Montreal SPCA with a 30 year experience in the charitable realm and shares a great love of animals.<\/p>\n

Tremblay has served as a senior administrator for the Montreal YMCA and as CEO of the Montr\u00e9al Sacr\u00e9-Coeur Hospital Foundation. \u201cMr. Tremblay is a senior executive recognized for his exceptional managerial leadership, continuous growth and harmonious governance,\u201d said Isabelle Brodeur, President of the Board of Directors at the Montreal SPCA. \u201cWe could not be more enthusiastic for the future of the Montreal SPCA and for the animals we serve\u201d. Mr Tremblay commented \u201cI am truly honored to join and contribute to an organization in which people are both so passionate and full of compassion.\u201d<\/p>\n

Nicholas Gilman, who has served the Montreal SPCA as executive director for the past five years is staying with the organization in a new capacity, as an honorary member of the Board of Directors. \u201cWe are all so excited to welcome Benoit to the Montreal SPCA,\u201d says Gilman. \u201cHe brings both a great love of animals and established leadership in charitable work in Montreal. He is inheriting a great team in the staff of the SPCA, and I know they will benefit so much from the skills of Benoit!\u201d<\/p>\n

The Montreal SPCA would like to thank Nicholas Gilman for his five years of service as Executive Director. He has successfully completed his mandate and will remain active with the\u00a0Montreal SPCA’s fight against breed specific legislation from his position as an honorary Board member.<\/p>\n
