Here\u2019s a little glimpse into our conversation with this compassionate man.<\/p>\n<p><strong>How did your transition towards a cruelty-free lifestyle occur?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\">\u201cThrough a past relationship, I had already been exposed to a vegan lifestyle. But it was after watching the documentary <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=Yqa2Pj_HMyI\" target=\"_blank\">Earthlings<\/a> that overnight, that I entirely stopped my consumption of animal products. Once you\u2019ve seen it, you can\u2019t <em>unsee<\/em> it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Who were your sources of inspiration?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\">\u201cIn my transition towards this lifestyle, I was greatly inspired by a long-time friend, who is vegan (Instagram\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/veganforearth\/\" target=\"_blank\">@veganforearth<\/a>), and by the Australian activist <a href=\"http:\/\/www.jamesaspey.com.au\/\" target=\"_blank\">James Aspey<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\"><span style=\"color:#ffffff;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<div id='gallery-1' class='gallery galleryid-346 gallery-columns-3 gallery-size-thumbnail'><figure class='gallery-item'>\n\t\t\t<div class='gallery-icon landscape'>\n\t\t\t\t<a href='https:\/\/www.spca.com\/en\/caleches\/orange-county-pet-photography-09-2-2\/'><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" src=\"https:\/\/www.spca.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/Orange-County-Pet-Photography-09-150x150.jpg\" class=\"attachment-thumbnail size-thumbnail\" alt=\"\" \/><\/a>\n\t\t\t<\/div><\/figure>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\n<p><strong>How did your friends and family react? <\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\">Really well! I even have a positive influence on my family\u2019s eating and purchasing habits.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Is it easy to maintain your vegan lifestyle while on tour?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\">\u201cI travel very often due to my career. Contrary to what some may think it\u2019s not difficult to eat vegan outside the house. Often, restaurant chefs enjoy the challenge of making a creative plant-based dish when the option is not already available on the menu. In addition, Indian and Japanese cuisines often offer veggie dishes. One of my travel tricks is to bring snacks, such as <a href=\"https:\/\/myvega.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">VEGA<\/a> bars, to the airport, in case the options are limited.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\"><span style=\"color:#ffffff;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<div id='gallery-2' class='gallery galleryid-346 gallery-columns-3 gallery-size-thumbnail'><figure class='gallery-item'>\n\t\t\t<div class='gallery-icon landscape'>\n\t\t\t\t<a href='https:\/\/www.spca.com\/en\/?attachment_id=24612'><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" src=\"https:\/\/www.spca.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/athena_david_blog-1-150x150.jpg\" class=\"attachment-thumbnail size-thumbnail\" alt=\"\" \/><\/a>\n\t\t\t<\/div><\/figure><figure class='gallery-item'>\n\t\t\t<div class='gallery-icon portrait'>\n\t\t\t\t<a href='https:\/\/www.spca.com\/en\/?attachment_id=24614'><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"101\" height=\"150\" src=\"https:\/\/www.spca.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/david_blog3-1.jpg\" class=\"attachment-thumbnail size-thumbnail\" alt=\"\" \/><\/a>\n\t\t\t<\/div><\/figure>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\n<p><strong>What are your favorite Montreal restaurants?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\">\u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/auxvivres.com\/fr\/\" target=\"_blank\">Aux Vivres<\/a>, mainly for the BLT sandwich with coconut bacon. I also love <a href=\"http:\/\/lolarosa.ca\/\" target=\"_blank\">Lola Rosa<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sushimomo.ca\/\" target=\"_blank\">Sushi Momo<\/a>, which offers all-vegan sushi.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>What would you recommend to someone who wishes to adopt a cruelty-free vegan lifestyle?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\">\u201cDo it in stages, by taking small steps&#8230; and don\u2019t necessarily copy me, by making this change overnight! Learn about the vegan diet in order to eat in a balanced way. Watch documentaries on the topic and get inspired by people who convey a positive message, such as James Aspey.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\">Thank you to David for this interview.
