The Montreal SPCA is inviting Quebecers to walk for animal-friendly housing on May 25!
Let’s show the provincial government that keeping all family members together is a critical and urgent issue. The Walk to Keep Families Together will begin at 1 p.m. in the Square Saint-Louis, just a few steps from the Sherbroke metro station. Start making your protest signs, and feel free to share your ideas and slogans on the event’s Facebook page! On May 25, bring along your family, friends, neighbours and coworkers. Let’s come out in droves to demand that companion animals be welcome in all housing across Quebec.

Quebec’s next provincial election is in 2026. The difficulty of finding animal-friendly housing hits some populations especially hard: people fleeing domestic violence, seniors, isolated or vulnerable individuals, and families with children. If we want every political party to commit to keeping all families together, we need to make it clear that the issue of animal-friendly housing is non-negotiable. Let’s stand in solidarity with animals and their families on May 25!
