You’d like to adopt a companion animal from the Montreal SPCA? You have two options!
Option 1: Come visit us!
Most of the animals available for adoption are at our shelter, on Jean-Talon Street in Montréal. Please come meet them during our opening hours. Note the wait time can be several hours on Saturdays and Sundays so, if you can, come by on a weekday instead!
Important notice:
Adoption appointments last at least one hour, so if you arrive during the last hour of the shelter’s opening hours, our advisors may suggest you come back the next day. Please arrive before 7:00 p.m. on weekdays or 5:00 p.m. on weekends to maximize your chances of meeting our little protégés!
Option 2: Fill out a form for animals in foster care
Some of our animals are currently living with foster families, and not at the shelter. These animals are identified on their profile with a black button, which leads to a form to fill out. If your profile matches that of the animal who has caught your eye, we’ll contact you in the following five days for a pre-screening interview.
