For a better protection of wild animals kept in captivity
In Quebec, too many wild animals continue to suffer because they are kept in captivity in inadequate conditions, whether by individuals or by unaccredited roadside facilities.
Join us in demanding stricter regulations and better protection for wild animals kept in captivity in Quebec.

Wild animals, who are just as intelligent and sensitive as the ones who live in our homes, have complex physical, social, and behavioural needs that are difficult, and sometimes impossible, to meet in captivity. Their wellbeing requires rigorous care, highly specialized facilities, and expertise that few people actually possess.
However, current regulations are largely inadequate to ensure the protection of these animals. They still allow under-qualified people to keep them and impose inadequate standards to guarantee their wellbeing and safety, as well as that of the public.
It’s time to take action.
