Emergency fund to respond to critical situations

23 cats and kittens rescued in a storm

We urgently need your help: a family of 23 cats and kittens have just arrived at the shelter and they need a lot of care.

Our teams went out into a snowstorm in response to the heartfelt plea of a family overwhelmed by the situation. To make matters worse, these new protégés all have ringworm, a benign fungal infection that requires rigorous care, strict quarantine and an extended shelter stay.

Sadly, a lack of resources forces other shelters to euthanize animals with ringworm but, atthe Montreal SPCA, we chose to do things differently. Since we believe a skin infection shouldn’t be a death sentence, our team members rolled up their sleeves to help these 23 itchy felines prepare for a wonderful life ahead.

Every minute counts

Critical situations pop up with no warning. Often, for animals with no other option, the Montreal SPCA is their last chance for safety and care. Thanks to your donations, we keep our teams trained and ready to respond to complex and urgent situations. We protect vulnerable animals when they need it most.

You can count on us to take care of animals. Can they count on your support?
