On June 20 2026, take part in
the race that’s all about dogs!
Montreal’s first-ever dog-friendly race
The Montreal SPCA is proud to partner with Courses Thématiques to present the very first dog-friendly edition of the Sun Life Course nocturne: a 2 km course to experience… with your pup!
Yes, you read that right! For the first time ever, dogs are invited to join the race. Join us on Saturday, June 20 at 4 p.m. at Angrignon Park for “La course qui a du chien,” a unique event celebrating the special bond between you and your four-legged companion.
Dog behaviour specialists will also be on site to help ensure the activity runs smoothly, for both humans and animals.
Register before May 19, 2026 and take advantage of a special early-bird rate of $35 instead of $45 for the 2 km dog race.

And it’s not just the 2 km dog race!
Would you like to run a longer distance? Or take part without your dog?
No problem! Other distances are also available, and no matter which one you choose, you’ll be able to create your own fundraiser to support the Montreal SPCA.
Whether you’re a seasoned runner or taking on the challenge for the very first time, every step you take will help vulnerable animals through your fundraising efforts.
Choose your distance now:
- 1 km (12 and under)
- 2 km dog race
- 5 km walk
- 5 km run
- 10 km run
Enjoy reduced registration fees for all distances until May 19!
Run and raise funds for animals!
No matter which distance you choose, every participant will have the opportunity to raise funds individually or as part of a team during the event. This race, which celebrates perseverance, offers a unique chance to share a special moment with your dog, or with friends and family, while making a real difference for animals.
Set a goal, form a team, and rally your community to collect donations in support of vulnerable animals.

Thanks to your donations, the Montreal SPCA can:
- shelter and care for abandoned, lost or stray animals;
- rescue animals who are victims of cruelty or severe neglect and conduct investigations;
- find loving homes for animals in need;
- advocate for stronger animal protection laws;
- continue educating the public and fostering compassion toward all sentient beings.
Don’t wait, be like Sherlock and Pascale: raise funds for vulnerable animals!
Need help promoting your fundraiser? We’ve put together a fundraising toolkit full of helpful tips to help you reach your goal.

A festive and meaningful atmosphere

By taking part, you won’t just share an unforgettable moment with your dog or loved ones, you’ll also directly support the mission of the Montreal SPCA, which works every day to defend and protect animals across Quebec.
