Montreal, October 2 2014 – Tongues and tails will be wagging furiously on November 6th at the Corona Theatre when the Montreal SPCA launches its first-ever, dog-meets-runway fundraising mega-gala. The goal is to raise $100,000 to help the Montreal SPCA continue its mission for the animals.
Beasts of Fashion, presented by Elle Quebec and the Montreal SPCA will be hosted by animal-lover and Quebec television star, Maripier Morin. The evening promises a flurry of furry festivities including a preview of the hottest in fall and winter fashions, courtesy of well-known Montreal designers.
Precocious pooches will be strutting their stuff down the runway alongside their human models. The event will inspire everyone who loves fashion and also shares their compassion for the 145-year old Montreal charity. “As an animal lover, I am delighted to be associated with the Montreal SPCA for its Beasts of Fashion fundraising gala”, says Maripier Morin. “The evening promises to be both memorable and exciting – I invite all those who share my passion for animals to participate in benefit of the Montreal SPCA”, she adds.
Those who plan to attend should bring their appetite for hors d’oeuvres, drinks, fashion and fun as the evening will include great music, a silent auction featuring original items and unique experiences, along with a few less than expected surprises.
Most importantly, the evening will provide an opportunity for everyone from the business and general community to connect with a local cause they care deeply about. “We are excited to be announcing Beasts of Fashion, an elegant gala where fashion and compassion meet. The evening will be both upbeat and entertaining – we will see you there!” said Nicholas Gilman, Executive Director of the Montreal SPCA.
