The health of our staff, volunteers, fellow citizens and, of course, the animals in our care is an ongoing concern for us at the Montreal SPCA. We wish to keep the number of visitors to a minimum given the current situation. This is why we have set up an appointment-scheduling protocol for our animal adoption service.
Please refrain at all times from visiting the Montreal SPCA if you have recently returned from abroad, if you are experiencing symptoms (such as fever, cough or breathing difficulties) or if you are at risk of contracting the coronavirus. Thank you for your valuable cooperation!
Please follow these steps to apply to adopt an animal
Consult the profiles of the animals who are up for adoption and fill out the form below.
If the animal is still available and your profile corresponds to the animal’s needs, our team will contact you within five days for a pre-selection telephone interview.
IMPORTANT: Due to the high volume of requests, only families who best match the animal will be contacted, in the order we receive the requests (first-come-first-serve basis). Thank you for your understanding!
If the match seems good after the telephone interview, you will be invited to come—by appointment only—to the Montreal SPCA to meet the animal. For dog adoptions, all members of your household should come to this meeting, with the exception of people at risk of more severe disease or outcomes from COVID-19.
