Voici ce que vous devez savoir de moi!
Stitch est un chat adorable: c'est une boule d'amour câline, joueur, qui miaule très peu, et qui viendra dormir avec vous. Il apprend vite et avec quelques friandises et récompenses, il est facile de l'habituer à votre rythme de vie. Comme il est très gourmand il est réceptif à un apprentissage avec friandises ;)
Stitch se laisse manipuler sans agressivité ce qui rend les soins faciles ( coupe de griffes, administration de médicaments) et conviendra nous pensons aux foyers avec enfants. D'ailleurs Stitch avant d'arriver à la spca et en famille d'accueil vivait avec un autre chat donc il a eu l'habitude à un certain moment de partager son territoire!
Sur le plan de la santé, Stitch est un chat de 7 ans qui s'est récemment fait extraire toutes les dents pour gingivostomatite, ce qui pourrait lui causer des douleurs chroniques. Comme il n'a pas de dents, Stitch mange essentiellement de la nourriture humide. Pour le moment, il n'est pas médicamenté mais il pourrait avoir besoin d'un suivi vétérinaire plus soutenu qu'un chat sans soucis médicaux. Nous avons d'ailleurs récemment remarqué une petite égratignure au niveau de son cou qui pourrait être une blessure passagère ou une réaction allergique ou une réaction cutanée dûe à l'arrêt de ses médicaments. Cela est difficile à dire pour le moment.
En résumé d'un point de vue comportemental Stitch est un chat facile et affectueux, qui peut apprendre beaucoup ( être en harnais, faire du «click training », apprendre à ne pas griffer les meubles) mais qui nécessite des moyens plus soutenus ( de temps et potentiellement d'argent) d'un point de vue médical.

Stitch is an adorable cat: he's a cuddly, playful ball of love who meows very little, and will come and sleep with you. He learns quickly, and with a few treats and rewards, it's easy to get him used to your lifestyle. As he's very greedy, he's receptive to training with treats ;)
Stitch can be handled without aggression, which makes him easy to care for (nail trimming, administering medication) and makes him ideal for homes with children. In fact, before arriving at the spca and in foster care, Stitch lived with another cat, so at some point he got used to sharing his territory!
On the health front, Stitch is a 7-year-old cat who recently had all his teeth extracted for gingivostomatitis, which could cause him chronic pain. As he has no teeth, Stitch eats mainly wet food. For the moment, he's not medicated, but he may need more intensive veterinary care than a cat with no medical concerns. We recently noticed a small scratch on his neck, which could be a temporary injury, or an allergic or skin reaction due to the discontinuation of his medication. It's hard to say at the moment.
In summary from a behavioral point of view Stitch is an easy-going, affectionate cat who can learn a lot (being in harness, doing click training, learning not to scratch furniture) but who requires more sustained means (of time and potentially money) from a medical point of view.
