Pretty Pooches will party hearty at the “Beasts of Fashion” gala event

PrintMontreal, October 29th, 2014 – The Montreal SPCA encourages those who love animals to spiff it up and attend the Beasts of Fashion gala event on November 6th at the Corona Theatre. Presented by Elle Quebec and the Montreal SPCA, the evening will be hosted by animal-lover and Quebec television star, Maripier Morin.

Aside from the fun, fashion-filled, dog-meets-runway gala, the goal is to raise $100,000 to support our 145-year old charity, while offering an unforgettable experience for animal-lovers who also have a penchant for fashion. Brandon Prust of the Montreal Canadiens will be among the guests showing their support for the event.

Attendees should expect to tempt their palettes with original cocktails and hors-d’oeuvres while enjoying a beastly fashion show where dogs will walk their models down the runway. Some of the non-canine beauties strutting their stuff down the catwalk will include wives and girlfriends of the Montreal Canadiens (Habs). Fashion designers, Yves Jean Lacasse (Envers), Eve Gravel, Christian Chenail (Muse), Mylene B and Valerie Dumaine will be featuring some of their newest, hottest fashions during the show.

The evening’s agenda will include an auction featuring a weekend for two at Hovey Manoir, 3rd row tickets to a Montreal Canadiens game, and an original painting by Montreal’s world-renowned artist Tom Hopkins.

Beasts of Fashion promises to be a unique and exciting gala that combines Montreal fashion with Montreal compassion”, says Nicolas Gilman, Executive Director of the Montreal SPCA. “We are greatly anticipating a fabulous evening for all, and we hope to see you there!” adds Gilman.
